Clavietta by Joseph Carrel a piano keyed mouth blown instrument

The Accordina is a French wind and free reed instrument invented and built in Paris by A.Borel around 1950-1960.

It combines the sound of chromatic harmonica with the logical and comfortable keyboard of button accordion (Italian system).

In the 1950’s early 60’s a person called A Borel of Paris invented the accordina based largely on the popular Italian Continental Chromatic accordion. As a manufacturer for many years Joseph Carrel saw it as a natural progression to develop a piano keyed version the Clavietta.

The Clavietta is an extremely expressive instrument capable of bending notes and growing in popularity in all manner of musical genre.
